Music Classes for All Ages

About Sarah Ryman:

Sarah lives and maintains a private voice and piano studio in Chelmsford, MA and serves on several faculty positions in neighboring music schools.  She is a huge advocate for early childhood music and basic music education for everyone.  She teaches all levels, but especially holds the amateur musician in the highest of regards, because an amateur makes music solely for the love of it!

She teaches piano, voice, and early childhood music classes and is currently accepting a limited number of students into her studio for Fall 2019. See more about her classes below.

As an operatic soprano, Sarah has received accolades for the rare power and richness of her voice along with her acute musicianship and multi-layered interpretations.  Her voice has been described as having a cognac body with a shimmering effervescent top.

She obtained her Master of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music and her Bachelor of Music from Georgia State University with undergraduate studies at the New England Conservatory of Music and Istituto Europeo in Florence, Italy.

In her free time, Sarah loves to ride her pink scooter named Shelby, attend Elvis Tribute Artist Concerts, gourmet cook, travel, and make new friends wherever she goes!

VOICE:  All ages welcome!  Elementary and Middle School Students will be taught good habits and proper breathing, musicianship, and theory.  For Highschool Students and adults, I teach a classical bel canto technique that teaches us to use the breath for a long flowing line and to balance the colors of the voice for an even sound throughout all the registers.  Don’t worry if classical music isn’t your style, healthy singing is healthy singing no matter what the genre.  To know how the voice works and to know what you are doing to create your individual sound is to be an artist.  However you apply this knowledge is your choice!  All singers are given the option of participating in a semi-annual recital!  Lessons for children are 30 minutes, adults 30 or 60 min on Monday evenings beginning at 6:00 pm  Contact Ms. Ryman HERE
